RP TRAVELOGUE ON CD-ROM

San Fernando, Pampanga, Jan. 3, 1998 - The best tourist destinations the Philippines has to offer can now be viewed using an interactive multi-media CD-ROM produced by the Department of Tourism.

DOT Regional Director Ronaldo Teotuico conceived the project, which is a joint undertaking of the government and the private sector aimed at marketing the Philippines as a major travel destination in the Asia-Pacific region.

The CD-ROM contents include: relevant database about the "best of the islands" marketing strategy, places to stay and dine and a listing of the accredited establishments throughout the country.

All the major destinations and attractions from the Ifugao Rice Terraces to the pearl divers of Mindanao are featured in digitized colorful images, punctuated with native songs, dances and music.
