DAVID GETS P21-M GORDON'S CONTRACT
Manila, Jan. 5, 1997 - Guard Bal David signed a P21-million, 5-year contract with Gordon's Gin, which will guarantee him P300,000 a month initially, escalating annually up to the year 2002.
The 5-foot-8, 25-year-old David was making P75,000 monthly in 1996 and P85,000/month last year from Gordon's.
The former University of Santo Tomas cager averaged 10.34 points in 68 games this year, and is 19th overall among local players, helping his team win the Commissioner's Cup title.
