POP COLA GETS PEEK FOR P7-MILLION
Manila, Jan. 4, 1998 - Pop Cola has signed up Fil-American cager Ali Peek to a P7-million, 3-year deal, announced team manager Elmer Yanga.
Yanga said the 6-foot-5 Peek will receive a monthly salary of P100,000 to P120,000 which will gradually increase in succeeding years.
Peek is currently studying at St. Mary's College in the US, but is expected to join the team's first practice session on Monday, January 5.
Peek will join another Fil-American in the Pop Cola team, Nick Belasco, who was the team's first- round pick last year.
