RP MOVIE GETS GLOBAL VIEWING

Manila, Jan. 17, 1998 - New movie outfit MHR Productions has lofty plans for its projects, the first of which is already on roadshow exhibitions in Metro Manila, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

MHR's initial presentation is "Sgt. Hidalgo...Bala ng Katarungan" featuring a powerhouse international cast headed by action star Cynthia Luster of Hong Kong and Japan, Malaysian actor Julian Chea and Filipino Raul Zaragoza.

The multi-racial cast is ably supported by Dan Fernandez, Dindi Gallardo, Sheila Ysrael, Janine Barredo, Jobelle Salvador, Julio Diaz and Lito Legaspi.

Directed by Manuel Marcos, the movie is about a secret Interpol operation to track down Asia's biggest crime syndicate from Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines and ends with the discovery of an underground drug laboratory in Bulacan.

Foreign distribution of the movie is being undertaken by members of the American Film Marketing Association (AFMA).
