IT'S OVER, SAYS DAYANARA

Manila, Jan. 13, 1998 - TV viewers all over the Philippines were glued to their sets yesterday, listening to a pre-taped telephone conversation between former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres and the hosts of Showbiz Lingo Plus.

Ms. Torres, "Yari" to fans, bade goodbye to her Filipino followers, her career on Philippine TV and movies, and her 40-month-long romance with actor Aga Muhlach.

Yari said she had not talked to Aga since she left Manila last September to re-launch her show business career in her Puerto Rico home base. Her song album apparently became a big hit and she even embarked on a concert tour with Spanish-Filipino heart throb Enrique Iglesias, son of Julio Iglesias. She denied that they are romantically involved with each other.

"I'm happy for Aga and Carmina," Yari said when informed about the new romantic couple.

She has ruled out the possibility of returning here to pursue her career. She will be back in Manila this summer, but only for a series of concerts with Enrique Iglesias.
