AGA NOT HURRYING TO ALTAR

Manila, Jan. 9, 1998 - The official confirmation that his friend Richard Gomez is getting hitched in April leaves Aga Muhlach as the most eligible and still available bachelor in moviedom.

The true stories of Richard and Aga, particularly their romances, have been followed not just by the masses but by people in high society as well.

Their lives have many similarities: their parents were from showbiz who separated while they were kids, forcing them to be on their own early. They both have been linked seriously to several girl friends, and both built dream homes about the same time last year, in preparation for marriage and raising a family.

A year ago, it was rumored that Aga was marrying Dayanara Torres, but nothing was confirmed. Yari left the country and has not been back for several months now.

Meantime, Aga is currently rumored to be seeing Carmina Villaruel, who unfortunately is legally married to -- although separated from -- Rustom Padilla.

Aga's home, like Richard's, is finished. Unlike Richard, however, Aga is in no rush to march any special girl to the altar. It seems that his priority is to rev up his career which stalled after he quit as Jose Rizal in the filmbio about the Philippine national hero.
