SHARE PRICES FIRM
Manila, Jan. 22, 1998 - Prices at the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday closed firm, with the Phisix index gaining 1.97 points to close at 1,773.86 on a turnover of 1.1 billion shares valued at P1.4 billion.
Gainers led losers 49 to 41, with commercial-industrials gaining and the property sector falling.
PLDT gained P5 to close at P875, Metrobank gained P1 to close at P237.
