RP AS PREMIER DESTINATION FOR AMERICANS

Manila, Dec. 24, 1997 - One of California's most prestigious travel agencies is mapping out strategies to make the Philippines the premier world destination for American tourists.

Lori Kaye, president of the International Travel Center (ITC), told President Ramos and Tourism Secretary Mina Gabor that her agency is now creating and coordinating special travel packages that will be of major interest to foreign tourists, especially Americans.

Kaye is coordinating with Donald Kenny, director of the "Don's Exotic Islands" division of the ITC, to finalize the "Philippine Paradise Packages" as well as the "Philippines, the Treasure Islands" travel itinerary.

Kaye is also producing travel documentaries on Philippine destinations which will be shown on the CBS Travel Television program.
