NIGHT BAZAAR SET IN SUBIC
Subic Bay Freeport, Dec. 20, 1997 - A unique night bazaar is being set up for the first time inside the Subic Bay Freeport to promote Filipino culture and push Philippine-made products in the international market.
The night market, a project of Subic Bay Travel and Amusement with Ricatti International, will have 60-80 stalls selling shoes, clothes, leathercraft, art works, jewelry, accessories and decor.
Albert Lau, chairman and CEO of the organizing firms, explained that a variety of night life is significant in bringing more travellers from Hong Kong and China to tourist destinations, one of which is Subic Bay.
Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority chairman Richard Gordon, launching the project, said it will "show the world how Asians work together in an Asian setting where Filipinos, Chinese, Malaysian and other nationalities can enjoy together in a wonderful night market right at the Subic Bay Freeport, Philippines."
