NEW RP LUXURY SHIP TO EXOTIC PORTS

Manila, Dec. 19, 1997 - Filipinos and foreign tourists are discovering a new, more convenient way to reach exotic Philippine destinations -- by sailing on board the luxury cruise ship MV Mabuhay Sunshine.

MV Mabuhay Sunshine's 1998 first season will run from January to June and will consist of 3-day weekday and 3-day weekend cruises on the Manila-El Nido-Boracay-Manila run. An overnight weekday "Cruise to Nowhere" is also on the calendar.

It is the first of its kind in the Philippines, offering luxurious accommodations for 440 passengers, with fine cuisine, on-board entertainment, a disco, Karaoke bar, coffees hop, a show lounge, and ballroom dancing with a live band.

The vessel's complete renovation after acquisition from Japan cost P350 million.
