CEBU PACIFIC BARES PROFITS
Manila, Dec. 16, 1997 - Cebu Pacific Air announced the company's profitable position, made possible by the deregulation of the airline industry.
Cebu Pacific Air chief advisor Diego Garrido said their airline earned P10 million this year, and is Number 1 in Tacloban while only three points behind PAL in Cagayan de Oro passenger traffic.
Cebu Pacific now operates eight DC-9's in six major trunklines.
Beefing up the airline's staff are four past presidents of the Airline Pilots Association of the Philippines (ALPAP): Captains Dick Singson, B.A. Gelipano, Ted Fojas and Jose Opus. All four were recruited from Philippine Airlines.
