PBL CAGERS IN PBA DRAFT WARNED
Manila, Dec. 20, 1997 - Philippine Basketball League commissioner Yeng Guiao announced yesterday that the league would crack the whip on PBL players who applied for Monday's PBA draft despite having live contracts with PBL franchises.
Guiao said the PBL board has a meeting Wednesday night and agreed that "players with live contracts who applied for PBA draft would face legal action unless they withdraw their applications."
Twelve PBL players applied for the rookie draft, including Agfa's Danny Ildefonso.
