RP GOLFER WINS $.5-M OMEGA TOUR
Hong Kong, Dec 15, 1997- Filipino Rodrigo Cuello won the $500,000 Omega PGA Championship at Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, firing a four-under-par 66, with a four-game 10-under- par.
"I don't think about what any of the other players are doing, and I never looked at the leaderboards," said Cuello, who only realized he was in the lead when told after he had putted out on the last hole.
Cuello adds the Omega Tour to the Hong Kong Open title, which he won almost a year ago.
