DARTS GREAT HOLD MANILA CLINICS
Manila, Dec. 9, 1997 - The greatest darts player of all time, Eric Bristow, flew into Manila over he weekend to conduct clinics and exhibition matches.
Bristow is the top signature player of Harrows Darts Technology and is in the country to promote the sport, hold clinics in several Shoemart branches and engage top Pinoy darters in exhibition matches.
The Darts Council of the Philippines has yet to determine who will face Bristow in four exhibition matches, dubbed the 1997 Super Darts, set at the Rizal Sports Complex in Pasig City., and the "Challenge the Champion" event.
Bristow is acknowledged worldwide for his contributions to the growth of the sports. He is a five- time World Professional champion, five-time World Masters champion, four-time British Open Singles Champion, four-time North American Open Singles champion and three-time World Cup Singles champion.
He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in the late 80s, the only dart player to receive such honor.
