PADILLA TOPS SHOOTING ELIMS
Fort Bonifacio, Dec. 9, 1997 - Award-winning marksman Nathaniel Padilla topped the first rapid fire pistol elimination round for the Philippine Team to the Southeast Asian Shooting Association championships next year.
Padilla fired 572 points out of a possible 600, to outclass Inocentes Dionesa and former Olympian Mariano Ong at the Presidential Security Command range in Fort Bonifacio.
Gilbert Escobar prevailed in the free pistol event while Christopher Arceo and Jasmin Luis triumphed in the men's and ladies' air rifle eliminations.
