DETAILS OF RICHARD'S WEDDING

Manila, Dec. 31, 1997 - Ricky Lo of the Philippine Star today gave the first details of the Richard Gomez-Lucy Torres wedding.

1. The wedding will be in Ormoc City, the bride's town, on Tuesday, April 28. It will be two weeks after Richard's 32nd birthday. Lucy is 8 years younger.

2. It will be a grand affair, an unprecedented event that will mark a first not only in the Visayas but in the whole country. More than 100 guests are flying in from Manila. Richard has booked two big hotels in Ormoc to accommodate the guests.

3. The bridal gown will be figure-hugging as befits a model that Lucy is. Randy Ortiz, who is making the gown, will also do Richard's Barong Tagalog. Jing Monis will do the make-up of the entire bridal entourage. The color motif is silver and blue.

4. Ninongs and Ninangs are led by Regal boss Lily Monteverde, ABS-CBN executive Freddie Garcia and director Johnny Manahan.

5. Three best men: Richard's manager Douglas Quijano, actor Anjo Yllana and non-showbiz friend Perry Dean.

6. Violin ensemble for wedding music, with the Mulatto band for the reception.

7. No decision yet on whether to hold the wedding in church or at the garden of either of the two hotels booked for the event.
