MARK ANTHONY IN MAUL, ROB CASE

Cainta, Rizal, Dec. 28, 1997 - His stepfather is Paranaque Mayor Joey Marquez of Paranaque, his biological father is Rudy Fernandez, who may be the next Quezon City Mayor. But Mark Anthony got into trouble in another town, where neither father nor stepfather could lose votes.

Days after he promised to turn over a new leaf and go back to school, Mark Anthony Fernandez allegedly mauled a security guard and drove away with the guard's gun at the Town and Country Executive Village in Cainta.

According to the complaint of security guard Wilmar del Carmen, Mark Anthony attended a Christmas party of his manager Douglas Quijano inside the subdivision. After the party, Mark and his girlfriend Claudine Barretto, accompanied by two men, stopped at the gate on their way out of the subdivision.

The guard claimed that while two men held him back, Mark hit him four times in the face. Mark drove away after taking the guard's gun, the complaint said.
