SUNSHINE CRUZ ROBBED BY AIDE

Manila, Dec. 20, 1997 - Sunshine Cruz had a trusted aide, who was trusted by the actress with all her talent fee collections and an authorization to encash checks.

Today, Sunshine is dark and gloomy. Her most trusted girl Friday is gone, along with close to P2 million which was systematically stolen from Sunshine's pay checks.

Sunshine rushed home from a singing engagement in Japan last Tuesday when she was tipped off that something was amiss with the finances at home. From July to December this year, Sunshine's aide collected her talent fees for the programs "Tropang Trumpo" and "Mia Gracia" as well as for guesting in "Eat Bulaga" and the special "Ama Namin" and never deposited them in Sunshine's accounts.

The actress is now beside herself with grief and anger, and has consulted lawyers on the criminal cases she will file against her assistant.

The incident reminded showbiz people of Dina Bonnevie, who lost a bag filled with her multi- million jewelry collection to a maid-alalay while taping her Channel 7 program Ms. D.
