JENNIFER-GABBY ANNULMENT HITS SNAG
Manila, Dec. 12, 1997 - There might be big problems ahead for Gabby Concepcion, whose two ex-wives and daughters live within blocks of each other in Boston with their new husbands.
The Philippine government, through the Office of the Solicitor General, yesterday objected to the motion of Gabby before the Court of Appeals to nullify his marriage to Jennifer Martin.
The OSG, acting as defensor vinculi, found Concepcion's petition "fatally defective." Bello said his office has registered its objection to Concepcion's motion.
Concepcion divorced Martin on November 18, 1988 in the United States. Divorce is not recognized under Philippine laws.
Ex-wife megastar Sharon Cuneta lives temporarily in Boston with husband Francis Pangilinan and daughter K.C. Concepcion. Francis, a lawyer and local government official, is on a scholarship grant. Sharon is the daughter of Pasay City Mayor Pablo Cuneta.
In the same city also lives Jenny Syquia, model-journalist-actress and grand daughter of President Elpidio Quirino. With Jenny are her new husband and her daughter Chloie Concepcion.
