ROSANNA ROCES SPONSORS MISS GAY MALABON

Malabon, Dec. 10, 1997 - Malabon's most famous showbiz daughter is the new patroness of her hometown's gay community and fulfilling her promise to stage a Miss Gay Malabon beauty contest.

While the town is famous for hosting the most fabulous gay Santacruzans in the country, this is the first Miss Gay contest sponsored by a celebrity.

Osang herself has been screening potential contestants at the GMA studio at Broadway Centrum every Sunday. Dec 14 is the last such screening. She also heads the board of judges, which will include Lolit Solis, Boy Abunda, director Chito Rono and Charlene Gonzales. Ai Ai delas Alas will emcee the program.

Prizes put up by Ms. Roces are: P50,00 for Miss Gay Malabon, P10,000 for first runner up and P5,000 for second runner up, with giant trophies for all the winners.
