GISELLE TOENGI DROPPED BY MANAGER

Manila, Dec. 6, 1997 - During a lull in the taping of the TV show "Gimik!" last Monday, top caliber talent manager Dolor Guevarra told Giselle Toengi she was resigning and no longer considers the actress a client.

Dolor decided to quit as Giselle's manager because the mother of the actress has taken over the reins of Giselle's showbiz schedules without informing the manager. Dolor refused the offer to be co-manager with the mother.

Giselle's rise to stardom was engineered solely by Dolor, who has landed the actress a plum 16- picture, 4-year contract with Regal Films. Dolor also obtained a contract for two telecines and one shampoo commercial.

It was Eric Quizon, close friend of Giselle, who referred Dolor to be her manager. Dolor also manages Eric, who has adopted a hands-off policy on the actress-manager tiff.
