NORA DRAWS CROWDS FOR ERAP
Cagayan de Oro City, Dec. 5, 1997 - Superstar Nora Aunor, on the road as premiere attraction of Vice President Joseph Estrada's rallies, can still draw the crowds.
Nora was with her long-time friend, presidential aspirant and former actor Estrada campaigning for eligible voters to register barely three weeks before the registration deadline.
Everywhere she went, thousands would immediately gather and beg for her to sing. Each town or barrio meeting was transformed into a mini-concert, with the crowds singing along their favorite Aunor tunes.
Nora's "magic" is to try to convince people in the barrios that Erap Estrada is the best choice for president come May 1998.
