ALMA SERIOUS WITH BUSINESSMAN BF

Manila, Dec. 4, 1997 - Ruffa Gutierrez is telling the world about how happy her friend and co-star Alma Concepcion is these days.

In an article by the Manila Chronicle's Miguel Victoria, Ruffa narrates Alma's hectic U.S. schedule with businessman beau Dodie Puno. Puno, according to the author, is a "divorced businessman whose oldest son is as old as Alma."

Alma's swing through the United States with Puno is the reason she's not able to help Ruffa promote their movie "Halik" where they co-star with Christopher de Leon. Ruffa disrupted her Hollywood training and search for roles just to come home to promote the movie.

"When I was in San Francisco, Alma was in Los Angeles, and when I went to L.A., she was already in Las Vegas," said Ruffa. "So we never met in the U.S. because we kept missing each other."

Alma and Ruffa are both beauty queens; Alma was Binibining Pilipinas for the Miss International contest, while Ruffa went to Miss World and became a runner-up with the title Second Princess.
