RP FIRM BAGS SAUDI PORT CONTRACT
Manila, Dec. 26, 1997 - A consortium led by International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) has taken over the operations of the container terminal in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The ICTSI has reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission that the Saudi Arabia Ports Authority formally turned over the facilities of the container, roll-on and roll-off reefer cargo terminal at the King Abdul Aziz Sea Port in Dammam. The consortium is a joint venture between ICTSI and its Saudi partner The Maritime Company.
The contract is for ten years. ICTSI handles the container services at the Port of Manila.
