HISTORICAL LANDMARKS THEME FOR PHOTO CONTEST
Manila, Nov. 15, 1997 - Philippine historical landmarks, many of which have become tourist attractions, are the main subject of a photo competition for all amateur and professional photographers.
The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) launched the contest in time for the country's centennial celebrations.
The FPPF describes the subject of the tilt as "a place or part of a place where an event relating to Philippine history took place, began or culminated; where a person widely accepted as having contributed significantly to the history of the country (such as, but not limited to, statesmen, heroes, martyrs, government officials) lived, studied, performed acts of history, or caused to happen an act of historical significance."
Prizes are P10,000 for first, P7,00 for second and P5,000 for third place. Entries could be in color or black and white, in size 8 X 10 inches, with or without borders. Digitalized photos are not allowed. Deadline for submission of entries is 12 noon, December 6, 1997.
Entries may be mailed or personally submitted to the FPPF secretariat, 7th floor, Comfoods Building, Buendia, Makati City.
