FREE PHONE CALLS TO RP FOR UNITED AIRLINES PASSENGERS
Quezon City, Nov. 11, 1997 - It is now easier and cheaper to phone the Philippines using a new phone card, and United Airlines gives them away free to passengers bound for the United States.
ABS-CBN Telecom, a subsidiary of ABS-CBN International, has decided to link up with United Airlines to distribute its new product. Passengers boarding all United Airlines flights bound for the United States will receive an ABS-CBN phone card with five minutes free talk time. Once in the US, they may use their phone cards to call anywhere in the Philippines. These cards are rechargeable once they have been used up, with the lowest flat rate of 60 cents per minute of calls.
The cards are also available to subscribers of the Filipino Channel 9 (TFC), ABS-CBN International's premium cable channel. They can also be purchased at the Starry, Starry Store, ABS-CBN's theme store in Daly City.
