ORBITO OPENS PANGASINAN HEALING RESORT
Manaoag, Pangasinan, Nov. 3, 1997 - Rev. Alex Orbito will finally see the fruition of a vision when his Pyramid of Asia healing and resort complex opens on November 25.
Pangasinan's newest landmark has been described by the Manila Bulletin's Melvin Alvior as "a fusion of modern architecture and ancient engineering, a blend of spiritual and material ambience enriched by an idyllic ecological setting."
Before construction began last year, Orbito studied the pyramid designs of Lebanese and German builders, considered several sites including one in Antipolo with a 360-degree panoramic view of Manila and the Laguna Area. But his dreams told him to build in the religious pilgrimage town of Manaoag.
German architect Dieter Leower, once cured by Orbito, designed the project for free. Volunteers, too, were Swedish textile magnate Claos Nerework and Singaporean trader Frederick Low, who believe that the Pyramid of Asia in Pangasinan will benefit all the peoples of the world.
