NEGROS FOOTBALL TEAM SECOND IN THAI INVITATIONAL

Bangkok, Nov. 30, 1997 - The West Negros College under-19 football team, representing the Philippines, placed second in the Thailand Invitational tournament for high schoolers.

The Filipinos lost, 4-1, to Bangkok's champion Bangkok Christian College. Earlier, the Negros boys settled for a scoreless draw against Suphamburi Sports School.

The Bangkok trip and chance to play in the Invitational tournament was the prize for West Negros College which won the 1997 Palarong Pambansa high school title.
