ALASKA BEATS STA LUCIA, ENTERS FINALS
Quezon City, Nov. 28, 1997 - Alaska Milk barged into the final round of the PBA governor's Cup last night at the Araneta Coliseum, beating Sta. Lucia, 95-80.
Alaska came in from behind, with the core against them, 38-41, at halftime.
This is the tenth, of eleven PBA finals, that Alaska has entered.
Sta. Lucia head coach Adonis Tierra concedes that it may not yet be the time for his team. "It's really not ours. Alaska is an experienced team and we're not. We'll have to work harder and gain maturity if we want to rise to another level," Tierra said.
