37 FOREIGNERS IN MABUHAY CLUB GOLF FEST

Manila, Nov. 9, 1997 - A total of 37 foreign-based players of all handicaps have registered for the 6th Mabuhay Club Invitational Golf tournament to be held at the north and south courses of the Canlubang Golf and Country Club.

At least 200 players, all frequent flyers on business and first class of Philippine Air Lines, were expected to register for the 18-hole tournament.

Heading the foreign list so fr is American Tom Culligan of Los Angeles, the winningest participant in this event, which is for members of the exclusive Mabuhay Club. Culligan had won in 994 and 1995. Law year, he won Class A after being edged out of the overall championship by Filipino Gerard Cantada.

The foreigners will be flying in from as far as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
