MOBILINE UPSETS ALASKA 89-86

Quezon City, Nov. 8, 1997 - Patrick Fran's defense led Mobiline to a surprise victory over Alaska Milk last night in the Philippine Basketball Association's Governor's Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.

Mobiline coach Tommy Manotoc was all praise for free agent rookie Patrick, "I've always felt that there's only one guy in the PBA who can limit the effectivity of Abarrientos and that is Patrick."

With last night's upset win, the Phone Pals snapped out of a four-game losing streak and improves their standing to 5-7 in the two-round eliminations. Alaska's record for the eliminations is now 7-5.
