HORSE RACING BACK AT SAN LAZARO TOMORROW

Manila, Nov. 7, 1997 - There will be no races tomorrow at Sta. Ana Park. Instead, races will resume at the San Lazaro Hippodrome although the Manila Jockey Club's application for a new 25-year franchise is still pending at Malacanang.

Races will also be held on Tusday and Wednesday. The races will be backed by a special permit granted by the Philippine Racing Commission.

The Games and Amusements Board also came out with an opinion that the franchise of the Manila Jockey Club won't expire till March 23, 198 beause it ook effect only on March 23, 1973 after its oubication in the Official Gazette.
