ABS-CBN STAR HAD LABANDERA MOM

Manila, Nov. 29, 1997 - Many show business critics are predicting that Jericho Rosales will become a very good dramatic actor if given a few more serious roles.

Jericho, a member of ABS-CBN's Star Circle Batch IV, effectively shows deep emotions during takes, a talent rare in someone so young.

His studio mentors opine that it may be due to Jericho's tough childhood. Raised by a single mother who had to move from city to city as a laundry woman, Jericho had to quit school at a young age, to work for a fast food joint, where he was discovered by a talent scout.

He entered, and won the Mr. Pogi '96 November monthly title and became a mainstay of "Eat Bulaga" before auditioning for Star Circle.

Today, Jericho is thankful he can share his good fortune with his family. His first goal is to build a home for his mother, a home big enough so that all the siblings could be together under one roof.

"Whenever we shoot a scene, all I have to do is draw from all my experiences and I am helped to feel the role," Jericho says of his acting skill.
