LEAH NAVARRO EXTENDS MANILA STAY
Manila, Nov. 26, 1997 - Actress-singer Leah Navarro flew to Manila for a couple of concerts last month, and had intended to fly back to her business career in Toronto. But the response of her fans has been overwhelming, resulting in concert bookings well into Valentine's Day 1998.
Because of the many offers and requests that suddenly swamped her, Leah Navarro has decided to stay, at least until February next year.
Here is a rundown of her hectic sked. November 21 - PAGCOR casino in Angeles City, November 22 - Casino Filipino in Bacolod City. November 29 - A Tribute to Jullie Borromeo, U.P. Theater.
December 1 - World Age Day at Giraffe, December 17 - Manila Peninsula Christmas Party, December 22 - Robinsons Manila, December 26 - Robinsons Galleria.
Leah is excited over being here for the holidays. For the past seven years, staying in Canada, all her Christmases have been white. This time, she will again taste all the Christmas native eats she's been missing, like puto bumbong and bibingka.
"I have not spent Christmas here for almost seven years," Leah said, "and I am looking forward to enjoying every minute of it here this year."
