GELLI-ARIEL MOVIE FLOPS

Manila, Nov. 21, 1997 - Earl Blue of the Evening Tempo reports that true to his earlier prediction, the movie "Ikaw Pala ang Mahal Ko" starring singer Ariel Rivera and his live-in partner Gelli de Belen was a big box office flop.

According to the columnist, the film had to be pulled out of several movie houses after only one day of showing because the theaters were almost empty.

This must be a big disappointment for the film's director Joe Reyes, whose last movie "Nang Iniwan Mo Ako" was a big artistic and commercial success.

A big setback, too, for producer Star Cinema which needs a box office winner after a string of financial flops.
