IMELDA PAPIN MARKS 18TH YEAR IN SHOWBIZ

Manila, Nov. 16, 1997 - Imelda Papin and her fans will celebrate the singer's 18th year in the world of entertainment. The anniversary will be marked in her radio program "Imelda Papin Presents" tonight on DZRB, Radyo ng Bayan..

Imelda has recorded 50 LPs, cassette and CD albums under different recording labels, including Wonderland, Vicor, Alpha and her own Emerald Music Corporation.

She has earned several titles, from Jukebox Queen to Queen of Music, and has had more than 30 records declared platinum or gold. Among her most popular songs are: Bakit, Mahal Saan ka Nanggaling Kagabi? and Isang Linggong Pag-ibig.

She has performed everywhere, but her most memorable gig was a two-week stint at Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City in 1988. She was also a special guest on the show Lou Rawls On Parade, a TV Christmas special in 1990.
