MICHELLE REBOUNDS AFTER BEING DUMPED BY ROMNICK

Manila, Nov. 8, 1997 - Michelle Ortega fell in love with Romnick Sarmenta three years ago. He was her first boyfriend. A year later, he dumped her.

Michelle openly talks about her heartaches and heartbreak in an interview published by Ethel Ramos of Malaya.

According to Michelle, Romnick changed from a thoughtful and generous lover. When she confronted him, what he told her shocked her no end. He confessed that he was no longer in love with her.

Michelle's heart was broken. In immense pain, she accepted a singing tour of Hong Kong, Brunei and other Asian cities. Her singing engagements took her to many countries for almost a year. She came back home a completely new person -- a level-headed woman.

She decided to resume her movie career, and now co-stars in "Mapusok" which top bills Rossana Roces and Julio Diaz. And she's in love again.

"He's not from showbiz, and he loves me very much," Michelle reveals.

The guy is a businessman, 7 years older than her. He wooed her for many ears before winning her heart.

Michelle also went back to school, and expects to graduate next year from De la Salle University with a degree in business management.

"I promised my parents I will fulfill this dream of theirs for me, no matter what," Michelle proudly proclaims.
