A NEW RACHEL ALEJANDRO IN "MIXED EMOTIONS"
Manila, Nov. 4, 1997 - There's a new record in town, and the girl who's singing sounds familiar but different.
"Mixed Emotions" is the new release from Rachel Alejandro, Hadji's daughter. Rachel co- produced the album with Eugene Villaluz. She also wrote two songs: "Paano Kung Mahal Ko Pa" in collaboration with former boyfriend Dingdong Avanzado and "Magic" which she wrote with cousin Nino Alejandro.
"I feel that I explored the entire range of my voice for this album," explained Rachel. "I've been singing for eleven years and that's a long time."
Her first single "Kupido" came out when she was only 15 years old. "When I first came out with a song in 1989, iba ang uso and I was much younger then, so my music was bubble gummy. Now I'm older, so naturally, things have changed."
Rachel's demeanor and even her wardrobe have changed, too. Her clothes are now sexy, reflecting a woman inside the body of a girl. Her attitude is different also.
"My priorities have changed. Career used to be number one. Now, it's family. Work is still work and you have to be professional about it, but it's also important to make time for your family."
