5,000 HOMES FOR RESETTLED SQUATTERS IN BULACAN
Norzagaray, Bulacan, Nov. 15, 1997 - Between 4,000 to 5,000 squatter families affected by the construction of the Radial 10 Road will be resettled in the 32-hectare North Hills Village now rising in Barangays Bitungol and Tigbe.
The Land Use Regulatory Board overruled the rejection of the project by the Norzagaray Sanguniang Bayan (Municipal Council) and issued the project a final development permit.
Chairman Dionisio de la Serna of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council said 50 classroom buildings, two health centers, two police and barangay outposts and a public market are now being built in the resettlement area.
Other facilities for the former squatters are: garbage trucks, concrete barangay roads, and the expansion of the municipal cemetery.
