JAPANESE INVESTORS TO FLOCK TO LEYTE SOON
Tacloban City, Nov. 13, 1997 - Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Hirayuki Yushita predicts that Leyte could be a future investment destination for Japanese businessmen.
The ambassador made the assessment after an exhaustive tour of the various projects funded by the Japanese government in Eastern Visayas. In a meeting with Leyte Governor Remedios Petilla, Ambassador Yushita said his government is confident that the Eastern Visayas region is one of the most promising areas of investment in the country on account of the abundance of resources and manpower.
