MANDALUYONG HAS SPECIAL OFFICE FOR HANDICAPPED
Mandaluyong City, Nov. 9, 1997 - Persons with disabilities are well looked after in the city of Mandaluyong. A special office to take care of the handicapped is right at the lobby of city hall to look after their needs.
Mandaluyong Mayor Benjamin Abalos said his office will recommend Persons With Disabilities (PWD) who have skills and talents for job placements in any of the establishments in the city.
To call attention to the need for support of PWD, the city will hold a Disability Month in December. The special project ill involve seminars and actual job recruitment activities.
So far, 180 PWD have already benefited from the new office.
