EARLY XMAS BONUSES AT MAKATI CITY HALL

Makati City, Nov. 3, 1997 - Here is a rundown of benefits to be received this week by employees of the government of Makati: 13th month pay, fringe benefits equal to one month's salary, salary differential, cash gift of P1,000 and a rice allowance of P800.

Six weeks before Christmas Day, Makati city hall workers are getting their benefits with enough time for them to plan their expenses for the holiday season. Makati has more than 4,000 employees, one of the biggest number among city governments in Metro Manila.

Three-termer Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay said the lowest paid employees will receive about P12,000 each.

The bonuses were covered by City Resolution No. 97-148 unanimously approved by all members of the city council presided by Vice Mayor Arturo"Toro" Yabut.
