PESO APPRECIATING, CLOSES AT P34.73/DOLLAR
Manila, Nov. 20, 1997 - The peso closed at P34.73 against the dollar yesterday, a slight recovery from the previous day's P34.96/dollar rate.
Traders believe the peso is on an "appreciating mood." Foreign exchange dealers saw active speculative trading yesterday, resulting in the huge volume turnover of $254 million from $199.7 million the day before.
