BRUNSWICK PLEASURE BOATS SET UP SUBIC SHOP

Subic Bay Freeport, Oct. 31, 1997 - The most popular sports boats, cruisers, house boats and pleasure boats will soon be supplied by the Philippines.

A local firm, Watercraft Venture Corp, is establishing a P100-million facility to build pleasure boats and provide state-of-the-art boat service and repair at the Subic Bay Freeport.

Watercraft president Federico Sandoval said his company has been appointed authorized sales representative of pleasure boat manufacturers Sea Ray Boats, Boston Whaler and Baja performance cruisers, all of the Brunswick Group, a Fortune 500 company.

Brunswick's boats are suited for family recreational cruising. Baja is the top choice for powerboating, while the Boston Whaler has been making popular fishing and utility boats for more than 40 years.

Watercraft will also be manufacturing and selling Silverton sedan bridge cruisers, Playcraft pontoon and houseboats, Sea Doo personal watercraft and boat trailers.
