FIL-ESTATE'S BLUE AIRWAYS FOR BORACAY GOLFERS
Manila, Oct. 27, 1997 - Fil-Estate Land is launching a new airline which will serve mainly as a shuttle for the guests and members of its golf and resort project in Boracay.
John Sobrepena, president of Fil-Estate, announced that the first flights will be in December simultaneous with the opening of the Fairways and Bluewater Golf and Resort Club.
Initially, Blue Airways will purchases two 50- seater planes, which a major Fil-Estate partner is already negotiating for in Prague. "Eventually, we will be expanding the operations of the airline to the other projects of the company such as Batangas, Palawan and Cebu," Sobrepena disclosed.
Fil-Estate has about 7,000 hectares throughout the country and is still evaluating further land acquisitions in Davao and General Santos.
