FEU ONE WIN AWAY FROM UAAP CROWN

Quezon City, Oct. 8, 1997 - Far Eastern University scored a close 62-60 against La Salle yesterday, in the first of the best-of-three series for the UAAP men's basketball championship a the Araneta Coliseum.

The Tamaraws will face the Archers again tomorrow to try and clinch the title, while La Salle will work hard to stay alive and avoid placing second best for the fourth straight year.
