MARITA ZOBEL'S SON ON HIS WAY STARDOM

Manila, Oct. 31, 1997 - Marita Zobel, LVN star and contemporary of Charito Solis and Luz Valdez, put her foot down when her son Paolo decided he wanted to be in show business. She wanted him to get a college degree first.

Paolo Zobel, like a dutiful son, went ahead and finished a marketing course at San Beda College. That done, he decided it was time to fulfill his dreams.

He guested in TV dramas like "Calvento Files" and "Coney Reyes on Camera" where he tackled serious roles. Then TV director Johnny Manahan invited him to try out for the fifth batch of ABS-CBN's Star Circle.

He signed up with the ABS-CBN Talent Center three months ago, and he looks very much like someone who will go a long way in show business. He's got the looks (mestizo), the height (6 feet tall) and the show business pedigree, thanks to Mom Marita.
