HOLLYWOOD HIRES GINA ALAJAR AND TIRSO CRUZ III

Manila, Oct. 30, 1997 - Gina Alajar and Tirso Cruz III left early this week to do a movie in Hollywood in which they will play Asian roles. They will be gone 6 weeks.

Gina refuse to reveal details of the movie project, and said they'd rather discuss it when they return from Hollywood.

The producers of the film which is intended for international release came to Manila several months ago and previewed several Filipino movies. They saw Gina and Tirso perform ably in some of those films, and contracted their services.

Gina is impressed at the efficiency of the producers. "They took care of everything, including our application to be members of the Screen Actors Guild of America, without which we could get into some hassles. That membership will be very useful, and weigh heavily in our favor when other Hollywood casting directors come in the future."
