"IT'S A GIRL! " - OGIE AND MICELLE
Manila, Oct. 24, 1997 - Friends and co-workers of actor-singer Ogie Alcasid received the good news: wife Michelle delivered a baby girl!
Ogie and former Miss Australia Micelle van Eimeren are still in Micelle's home city, Brisbane, Australia, where the baby was born lasts Oct. 16. Delivery was by Lamaze Method, for which the two attended classes regularly during the pregnancy. Micelle wanted to be with her parents on this important event.
Micelle and Ogie wanted to be surprised by the baby's gender, and refused to undergo an ultra-sound test that would have told them early on if they were going to have a son or daughter.
The baby will be breast fed, and raised by the parents themselves. "No yaya for my kid, I will take care of everything. I do not believe in having someone else raise my baby," was what Micelle told everyone many months ago.
"We fell in love with her at first sight," said the brand-new parents.
