A PRINCESS GOES FROM BIDA TO KONTRABIDA
Manila, Oct. 11, 1997 - Princess Punzalan, daughter of the late radio-TV star Helen Vela, is back as a TV actress, but in a role diametrically opposite what she's been identified with.
Princess has graduated from sweet martyr roles to that of an evil, manipulative aunt who schemes to make life miserable for the heroine of the TV tele-novela "Mula sa Puso" aired every evening on ABS-CBN.
As Selina, Princess is the anti-heroine to the lead star Claudine Barretto.
Now a real-life single parent, Princess is recognized by her peers for her managerial abilities. She was voted into the Board of Directors of the Kapisanan ng mga Artista ng Pelikulang Pilipino or KAPP.
Princess was forced into the taking over a successful television production outfit when her mother died five years ago. Under her helm, Hyper-Vision won two Star Awards.
